Today we officially welcome two additional editors to The Lutheran Missal project: Matthew Carver and Fr. Stefan Gramenz.
Matthew Carver is a translator of German and classical literature. His interests lie in art, orthodox Lutheran theology, liturgy, and hymnody. Matthew received a BA from California State University, Long Beach with a double major in German Studies and Classical Civilization. He also holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing from San Francisco Art Institute. Matthew resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife Amanda, and their two sons.
Fr. Stefan Gramenz is the pastor of The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Pawling, NY. In preparation for the ministry, he attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he received his Master of Divinity degree. Prior to entering the seminary, Stefan majored in English, earning a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University Wisconsin. He is interested in native plants and early music.
Both men bring a vast degree of experience to the project, along with a shared interest in promoting historic liturgy and orthodox theology.
